Da Nang and Quang Ninh link to boost tourism
As part of their ongoing working trip to Quang Ninh Province from 19 - 22 July, a group of Da Nang's leaders, led by Da Nang People’s Committee Chairman Huynh Duc Tho, held talks with leaders of Quang Ninh Province on Monday with an aim of boosting the tourism industry in their localities.

In the talks, the officials discussed ways on promoting the development of tourism sector, attracting investments into their localities. In addition, their discussions focused on seeking solutions to protect the environment in the two localities.
Chairman Tho expressed his impression on Quang Ninh’s rapid growth and its remarkable economy development.
Mr Tho praised Quang Ninh for its efforts in developing its development plans through to 2030 and securing the top position in the Provincial Public Administration Reform Index (PAR INDEX) rankings for many consecutive years.
The Da Nang leader highlighted Da Nang's investment opportunities for domestic and foreign businesses with a focus on hi-tech and information technology.
To mark this occasion, Da Nang inked an agreement with Quang Ninh government to work together to drive development of their local tourism industry in a bid to help the sector recover from the coronavirus crisis.

Also on Monday, the Da Nang leaders attended a seminar on Ha Long City- Da Nang cooperation in tourism .
In his remarks at the seminar, Da Nang People’s Committee Vice Chairman Le Trung Chinh highlighted the importance of the seminar in working as the driving force for boosting the tourism industry and supporting tourism businesses in the two cities through the Covid-19 crisis.
Mr Chinh remarked that Da Nang is emerging as a safe, friendly and hospitable destination for both domestic and foreign tourists. Over recent years, the city has made every effort to develop attractive new tourism products, and improve the quality of tourism services, in a bid to attract more visitors.
Vice Chairman said Quang Ninh and Da Nang have the potential to develop tourism and share many similarities in attracting international visitors from their top source markets tourist markets, including China, Taiwan and South Korea. Also, Quang Ninh and Da Nang are the favourite cruise destinations in Viet Nam for international tourists.
Mr Chinh highlighted the significance of boosting bilateral cooperation to develop new tours and tourism products, and implement the ‘Two Localities - One Destination’ programme, in order to attract more visitors to the two localities.
Da Nang also promoted its tourism stimulus programme and its tourism products in the seminar.
As part of their ongoing working trip to Quang Ninh Province, the Da Nang delegation will conduct a survey on attractions, tourism products and services in Quang Ninh province.
