Da Nang leader sends letters to visitors amid Covid-19 outbreak

In parallel with the Da Nang authorities-released ban on domestic tourists, Vice Chairman of the municipal People’s Committee Le Trung Chinh yesterday sent a heartfelt letter to tourists in a move to seek their profound sympathy amid a new wave of infections in Da Nang.

In his letter, Vice Chairman Chinh, on behalf of Da Nang's leaders and local citizens, extended his deep gratitude to tourists for having chosen Da Nang as a favourite tourist destination over recent years. 

He affirmed, over recent times, under the drastic guidance of the Vietnamese national government, Da Nang has exerted every effort to maintain its stature as a safe and attractive magnet for domestic travellers.

However, the ongoing COVID-19 epidemic in Da Nang is complicated, new measures are being put in place in the city which may make your trips to Da Nang incomplete and considerably affect your travel plans.

Da Nang, therefore, hopes to receive tourists’ deep sympathy over this pandemic-triggers inconvenience and looks forwards to welcoming them as long as the pandemic is contained. 

Local tourist attractions are temporarily shut down

Yesterday afternoon, many tourist attractions across Da Nang began closing their doors to visitors during the ongoing compulsory social distancing period in the city from July 27 until 10 August, in a bid to prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus.

In a similar move, all entertainment facilities, resorts and hotels operated by Sun Group have also suspended their operations.  They are the Asia Park, the Sky 36, the Sun World Ba Na Hills Resort, Mercure Danang French Village Bana Hills, InterContinental Danang Sun Peninsula Resort, Premier Village Danang Resort, Novotel Danang Premier Han River and Ba Na Hills Golf Club.
