Da Nang Party Committee Deputy Secretary Nguyen Van Quang on Monday, visited and extended his greetings to staff of the Da Nang Police Department to mark the 75^th founding anniversary of the Viet Nam People's Police Force (August 19) and the 15^th anniversary of “All people protect national security” festival (August 19).

Deputy Secretary Quang commended the city's police force for their dedication and commitment to ensuring political stability, security and social order in the city. Mr Quang highlighted the vital role of the police force in keeping Da Nang's communities safe.

Mr Quang also praised local police force for their active involvement in conducting the traceability of F1 and F2 contacts in the community in a bid to stop the spread of the coronavirus, as well as in detecting and handling any breach in Da Nang government-imposed social distancing rules.

Mr Quang expressed his concern about the current pandemic situation and urged the police staff to uphold their responsibility to support the city's efforts to tackle Covid-19.

He also asked frontline police officers to take more precautionary measures in order to avoid getting infected with the virus.

Major General Vu Xuan Vien, the Director of the Da Nang Police Department pledged that the city's  police force will exert even more efforts to support the city in its fight against Covid-19.
