The Da Nang Party Committee (PC) will officially open its 22^nd Congress for the 2020 - 2025 tenure tomorrow, Wednesday, at Da Nang’s School of Politics, 34 Ho Nghinh street.

The convention will take place until 22 October and it will see the participation of about 350 delegates.The upcoming Congress will put the spotlight on group discussions about building up the city’s stronger political system, promoting public consensus and solidarity, maintaining national defence and security, and developing Da Nang into a big socio-economic, ecological, modern, smart and worth living city by 2025.

Notable on the event’s agenda will be specific reports on the city’s performance review for the 2015 – 2020 tenure, and adopting a handful of important regulations with specific targets and criteria for the 2020-2025 period. Specific plans and projects will be rolled out to soon bring the resolutions to life.

In particular, moral and talented officials with political mettle, brainpower and capability will be elected to Executive Committee of the Da Nang PC for the new tenure.

The participating delegates will become actively involved in discussing issues raised at the Congress, and giving their constructive opinions and suggestions for the city’s future progress delivered in a brief and succinct way.

During a preparatory meeting for the Congress which will take place this afternoon, heed will be paid on electing a Presidium Board, a Secretarial Board, and a Board for the Verification of Delegates’ Conduct.
