Da Nang leads Viet Nam in transforming local public services

Da Nang has donimated digital transformation of Vietnamese public servives as the city now has the highest online public service numbers integrated into the National Public Service Portal, according to Da Nang Department of Information and Communication.

In its effort to boost administrative procedure reform and enhance the efficiency of information technology applications, over recent years, Da Nang has geared up the provision of online public services.

Till date, a total of 1,632 public service services have fully gone online, available for public access on the portal at https://dichvucong.danang.gov.vn, mading up for 46% of the total, according to the recent statistics released by the municipal Department of Information and Communications.

As of late August, online public service numbers offered at level 4, the highest level in Viet Nam’s online public service system, accounted for 40.1% of Da Nang’s total administrative procedures, exceeding by 10% of this year’s national target previously set by the Vietnamese government.

In detail, a combined total of 753 online public services, including online the submission of dossiers, payment transactions and the returning of the results of administrative procedures, had been offered at this highest level.

Last month alone saw the debuts of a combined total of 267 public services used in such administrative agencies citywide as the departments of Science and Technology, Transport, and Foreign Affairs.

Till date, Da Nang has also upgraded its own e-government platform, completed the Local Government Service Platform (LGSP), which connects with the National Government Service Platform (NGSP) for sharing data with ministries and central agencies. Also, a data service portal to provide the municipal government’s information to the public and businesses has put into operation.
