Between 2015 and 2020, the Da Nang government has granted monthly allowances to thousands of ex-servicemen and war veterans who were exposed to Agent Orange (AO) or other toxic chemicals during their service in the anti-American resistance war, along with their children of Agent Orange.

Over the past 5 years, the Da Nang Fund for AO Victims and its chapters citywide have together raised a combined total of over 90 billion VND from generous philanthropists at both home and overseas.

The donations have been used to offer Tet gifts, provide free medical examinations and treatment for AO victims, build shelters for children of AO, and expand the detoxification and rehabilitation centre for AO/dioxin victims in Da Nang.
