On 7 November morning, the 17^th edition of ‘Ly Ca Phe Yeu Thuong’ (Cup of Compassion Coffee) monthly programme took place at the New Hawaii coffee shop, 15 Tran Quy Cap, Hai Chau District, Da Nang.

Co-hosted by Da Nang Journalists’ Association and the municipal Department of Education and Training, the event was attended by teachers, reporters and philanthropists across the city.

Among event attendees was Mr Nguyen Thanh, Chairman of the Board of Directors cum Director of the Da Nang Publishing House. Mr Thanh pledged to donate 40% of all proceeds of the sale of books namely ‘Mach Nuoc Trong’ by author Vinh Quyen and ‘119 Tro Choi Dong Dao Danh Cho Tre Em’ by musician Trinh Tuan Khanh to this charity programme.

In her remarks at the event, Director of the municipal Department of Education and Training Le Thi Bich Thuan thanked all the participants for their enthusiastic involvement and contributions during the charity event.

Director Thuan said that a combined total of 164 million VND was raised from generous donors for this month’s programme. The collected money would go to help school pupils and teachers who are victims of devastating floods and landslides in Da Nang and Quang Nam Province.
