300 million VND in financial assistance for Da Nang families affected by storm Molave
On Thursday, the Da Nang Fatherland Front Committee partnered with Da Nang branch of the Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam (BIDV) to donate 300 million VND to 13 families in Son Tra District whose houses were partially and completely damaged by storm Molave.
In particular, 40 million VND went to support each of 2 families having their houses totally collapsed, whilst 11 families whose their houses partially collapsed received 20 million VND each.
In his remarks at the donations ceremony, Da Nang Fatherland Front Committee Vice Chairman Le Van Minh expressed his heartfelt sympathy to affected families about the huge damage caused by the storm. He hoped that the donations would make a small contribution to support them to overcome difficulties to stabilise their lives soon.
It is reported that a combined total of 106 houses collapsed or had their roofs blown away as a result of the impacts of powerful storm Molave.
Most recently, 1.46 billion VND in disaster relief from Da Nang government has gone to help affected families to repair their damaged houses.
