Taiwanese bank provides 300 million VND worth of disaster aid for Da Nang
A group of visitors from the Union Bank of Taiwan, led by its Senior Vice President cum Manager for Southeast Asia Juan Feng Li, on Tuesday, visited and donated 300 million VND to Da Nang in a bid to help the city overcome the consequences of recent devastating floods and storms.
Da Nang People’s Committee Vice Chairman Ho Ky Minh expressed his deep gratitude for the Taiwanese bank’s support. He highlighted that this disaster relief aid would help affected residents in the city overcome all difficulties as consequences of recent storms and floods to stabilise their lives.
Vice Chairman Minh vowed that Da Nang government is willing to provide maximum support for the Taiwanese bank to open its branch in the city following Mr Juan Feng Li's proposal. He highlighted the significance of the opening of new branch of the Union Bank of Taiwan in the city to assist Taiwanese businesses to operate effectively in the city.
Mr Minh also affirmed the city’s stance in naming Taiwan is one of Da Nang’s key cooperation partners in various aspects in the time to come.
