On Monday, the Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Foreign Trade of Viet Nam (Vietcombank) donated 5 billion VND to Da Nang in an effort to support local poor people to celebrate a warm and happy Tet holiday.

Da Nang Party Committee Secretary Nguyen Van Quang, Da Nang Party Committee Deputy Secretary cum Chairman of the municipal People’s Council Luong Nguyen Minh Triet, and Chairman of the municipal Fatherland Front Committee Ngo Xuan Thang, made their presence at the donation handover ceremony.

In his remarks at the ceremony, Secretary of Party Committee of Vietcombank cum its Chairman of the Board of Directors Nghiem Xuan Thanh thanked Da Nang leaders for their support for Da Nang branch of Vietcombank to operate effectively over recent years.

Mr Thanh said Da Nang branch of Vietcombank has timely launched preferential credit packages for local businesses in order to help them maintain their stable operations, hereby contributing significantly to driving Da Nang’s economic growth. In addition, Vietcombank has been active in social and charitable activities in Da Nang.

In reply, Da Nang leaders thanked Vietcombank for its generosity and active support to help the poor in the city to enjoy a forthcoming warm and happy Tet.
