1,270 young men registering for military service tested for COVID-19

About 1,270 young men residing across Da Nang who have registered for compulsory military service were tested for COVID-19 on Thursday. The taking of nose and throat swab samples from the would-be recruits for coronavirus testing took place across Da Nang.

Colonel Nguyen Quang Vinh, Deputy Commander of Da Nang-based Military High Command highlighted the importance of the coronavirus testing in timely detecting the virus-infected persons, thereby ensuring the military’s combativeness and operations.

The results of the tests will be announced tomorrow, Friday.

On Saturday, the men will bid farewell to their family members and friends to join the army.
