Da Nang Party Committee Deputy Secretary cum municipal People's Committee Chairman Le Trung Chinh on Thursday (the 30^th day of 12^th lunar month) visited and extended his Tet greetings to some functional bodies who are on duty during the Tet (Lunar New Year) 2021 Festival.

Visiting the Da Nang-based Khanh Son Landfill Management Enterprise, Chairman Chinh commended the company for its great efforts in recent years, especially in the days leading up to Tet, in deploying maximum resources to ensure environmental sanitation across the city.

Mr Chinh also asked the company's staff to continue upholding their sense of responsibility and dedication to ensure the green, clean and beautiful urban landscape during and after Tet.

Chairman Chinh also delivered his best Tet wishes and words of great encouragement to officials and men at the Da Nang-based Infantry Regiment 971 and the Armoured Battalion 699.

He highly praised these military units for maintaining the sufficient number of troops and combat readiness at Tet, and he wished all of them a happy New Yea and successful fulfillment of their assigned tasks.

During his visit to the Traffic Police Division of the Da Nang Police Department , Chairman Chinh highly appreciated the unit's efforts in significantly contributing to ensuring traffic order and safety in the city.

The city leader also took the opportunity to encourage the unit’s officials and men, during Tet, to strengthen patrol and strictly handle any violations of traffic regulations in a move to ensure public convenient transportation and travel.

During his meeting with the staff of the Da Nang TV, Chairman Chinh demanded that this media agency to pay special attention to raising public awareness and high vigilance against the complicated COVID-19 pandemic which are raging in some Vietnamese localities.

The municipal government chief also extended his Tet wishes to patrol forces in the districts of Son Tra and Hai Chau, and encouraged them to fulfill their assigned tasks in detecting and handling criminals, thus helping the public across Da Nang enjoy a safe and happy Tet.
