Da Nang sends 8 medical workers to help Gia Lai tackle COVID-19
A ceremony took place in Da Nang on Friday to see off a group of 8 doctors and nurses to Gia Lai Province in an effort to help this locality in the battle against coronavirus.

Attending at the see-off ceremony were Da Nang Party Committee Secretary Nguyen Van Quang, and municipal People’s Committee Chairman Le Trung Chinh.
In his remarks at the event, Secretary Quang highly appreciated the municipal healthcare sector’s initiatives and the group’s great devotion and dedication to help Gia Lai in its tough combat against coronavirus.
He added the move clearly showed the spirit of togetherness and mutual support of Vietnamese people during difficult times because Gia Lai is in need of urgent help from Vietnamese localities to tackle workforce shortages amid a new wave of COVID-19 infections.

With a sense of responsibility and pride, the city Party chief wished the group members all good heath so as to fulfill their assigned tasks well in accordance with the expectations of the Party, government and people of Da Nang.
Dr Ngo Thi Kim Yen, Director of Da Nang Department of Health, said all of the group member had a high level of profession specific knowledge, expertise and skill in clinical assessments and intervention. They have put their personal feelings and unfinished plans aside to support the province’s efforts in the fight against Covid-19.
