More Tet gifts for hospital treating COVID-19 imported cases, needy families
On the occasion of Tet (Lunar New Year) 2021 Festival, on behalf of the Da Nang authorities, Vice Chairman of the municipal Fatherland Front Committee Le Van Minh visited and presented 100 million VND to Da Nang Lung Hospital where COVID-19 imported cases are being treated.

During his reception for the local government official, doctor Le Thanh Phuc, the Director of the Da Nang Lung Hospital said, since the second wave of the coronavirus hit the city last year this medical facility has still been designated to provide care and treatment for arrivals from overseas who catch the SARS-CoV-2.
Till date, the hospital has treated 31 SARS-CoV-2 patients, of whom 20 were discharged from hospital.
Currently, only 11 patients who returned from the US are still receiving treatment at the hospital.
There are 20 doctors and medical workers getting involved in treating severely ill patients stricken by the coronavirus at this medical facility.
Vice Chairman Minh highly lauded the hospital’s staff for their arduous efforts and great dedication towards treating COVID-19 patients.
Mr Minh also encouraged them to uphold the high sense of responsibilities and professional qualifications to fulfill their assigned tasks well, thus contributing to keeping the coronavirus out of Da Nang .
For the time being, Tet gifts are still on the way to the needy and disadvantaged across the city in a humanitarian move to partly bring warm and happy Tet to them.
Till date, the Thanh Khe District authorities have awarded Tet gifts, worth more than 12 billion VND in total, to 29,000 people who are social policy beneficiaries, those living under the city’s poverty thresholds and in need of social sponsorship, and disabled children across the district.
On the afternoon of 8 February, the municipal Red Cross Society organised a programme during which 16 families which suffered financially difficult circumstances and many losses sparked by floods and storms in 2020 in the communes of Hoa Tien and Hoa Chau in Hoa Vang District received 2 - 3 million VND each funded by VNPT- Telecommunication Service Corporation Business Centre .
Up to now, the municipal Red Cross Society has given Tet gifts, worth from 300,000 -500,000 VND to about 10,000 to the poor, social policy families, Agent Orange victims and natural disaster-affected families.
