A delegation of the Politburo, led by Politburo member and Head of the Party Central Committee’s Commission for Internal Affairs Phan Dinh Trac on Thursday morning paid a pre-Tet visit to Da Nang on the occasion of the upcoming special event.

Da Nang Party Committee Secretary Nguyen Van Quang and Party Committee Deputy Secretary cum People’s Council Chairman Luong Nguyen Minh Triet played host to the visiting delegation.

The Politburo member Trac urged Da Nang to regain its economic growth momentum as soon as possible, especially to properly clear the existing obstacles to the development of major projects this year, and the 2021 – 2026 term as a whole.

The high ranking national government official also extended his Tet greetings to the authorities and people of Da Nang, hoping that the city would become more and more prosperous and livable in the new year.

In reply, Secretary Quang proudly said Da Nang successfully contained the two coronavirus waves last year thanks to great efforts and high determination of local government and residents. Positively, in January 2021, the city’s total budget revenue accounted for 12.5% of this year’s target.

Da Nang people will be stronger on their feet to promote the spirit of solidarity and successfully implement all of the resolutions adopted by the national and municipal governments, Mr Quang remarked.

The city Party chief also took the opportunity to recommend the Party Central Committee, and the Commission for Internal Affairs in particular, to give more support to Da Nang so that it can get through difficulties and clear obstacles for the better development in the coming time.
