Data pubished by the Da Nang Taxation Department show that, in 2020, the total State budget collected in Da Nang reached 23,600 billion VND, fulfilling 76.32% of the year’s estimates set by the city. Of this, the domestic collection hit 19,440 billion VND, representing 72.4% of the year’s estimates.

In the first two month of this year, the city’s total domestic collections reached 3,508 billion VND, representing 19.9% of the year’s estimates, and up by 5.9% against the same period last year.

During his recent meeting with leaders of the Da Nang Taxation Department, municipal Party Committee Secretary Nguyen Van Quang asked them to make greated efforts to exceed its total budget collection targets set for 2021 by 3% to generate close to 18,200 billion VND in total.

Mr Quang underlined a must-do for the Department to continue updating its IT infrastructure, enhancing its network security system, and promoting modernisation of its customs procedures to ensure efficient operation.

Also, more effective measures should be taken to reduce tax collection losses, prevent tax evasion, handle outstanding debts, and increase checks on tax debt cases.
