A wide array of cooperation schemes in many aspects for the 2021 – 2025 period were discussed at a working session on Thursday between the visiting delegation from Da Nang, led by Party Committee  Deputy Secretary cum People’s Council Chairman Luong Nguyen Minh Triet, and the key leaders of the northern province of Son La.

On behalf of the Da Nang authorities and people, Party Committee Standing Deputy Secretary cum People’s Council Chairman Luong Nguyen Minh Triet (centre) presents VND 2 billion in aid to Son La Province on April 22.

The two sides discussed bilateral exchanges, mutual support and cooperation activities in trade promotion, the consumption of (One Commune- One Product) OCOP and typical products, organising fairs in the two localities, science and technology transfer to apply high technology in agricultural production, and supporting the consumption of input materials used in food, beverage and seafood processing industries.

Appeals will be made for investment in the construction of agricultural product processing factories, and building traditional and wholesale markets, trade centres and supermarkets in the two localities.

Besides, the two sides will mobilise investment resources for infrastructure development in rural, highland, remote, and ethnic minority areas, especially in service for transport, health care and education.

Mutual exchanges of experience in ensuring vocational training and job creation for rural workers, boosting digital transformation and leadership skills for managerial officials and supporting the development of digital and e-commerce businesses.

Addressing the meeting, People's Council Chairman Triet highly appreciated the potentials, strengths and achievements achieved in all fields by Son La Province, completely agreed on the aforementioned bilateral cooperation contents.

Also noticeably at the event was the signing of a memorandum of understanding between the two localities on bilateral cooperation ad mutual support plans in 2021 – 2025 period.

On this occasion, VND 2 billion in aid from the Da Nang budget was donated to Son La to support the poor in this province.
