Vice Chairman Nam directed the district authorities to increase the roles and duties of their local coronavirus community taskforce to keep a close watch on people who have completed their concentrated isolation period, COVID-19 recovered patients after being discharged from hospital, and arrivals from COVID-19 hit localities. The heed should be paid on conducting ‘One door- one test’ for the remaining families in the city as part of the government’s drive to curb the spread of the virus.
In addition, Mr Nam asked relevant agencies and district authorities to work together to ensure strict enforcement of preventive and protective measures against the pandemic in businesses with a large number of employees. He also called for continued monitoring of steps taken for COVID-19 management.
The city leader demanded the Authority of Da Nang Hi-tech Parks and Industrial Parks to send COVID-19 test results of employees to their employers. The focus should be asking businesses to fully comply with guidelines issued by the Ministry of Health and the Da Nang government for infection control and prevention. The business owners must ensure the strict practice of their employees in making mandatory medical declarations and making a commitment to follow personal protective measures against the COVID-19 to prevent virus spreading in their workplace.
“Functional forces must monitor compliance, enforce regulations requiring businesses to close for failing to comply with protective measures against coronavirus, and failing to update their situations on the city’s COVID-19 map." Vice Chairman Nam emphasised.
Mr Nam remarked that the police and military forces along with personnel from the municipal Department of Health and districts plus Youth Union members will be deployed at COVID-19 checkpoints at major entry and exit points in Da Nang in an attempt to stop new arrivals from bringing the deadly pathogen into the city.
“The municipal Department of Information and Communications must introduce 17 digital applications to all arrivals in the city to use for mandatory health declarations. In addition, one more COVID-19 checkpoint will be set up at Man Quang in Son Tra District, and the Border Guard force will be deployed at this venue, "said Vice Chairman Nam.
