Amongst the five candidates in Da Nang’s constituency No.1 covering Hai Chau, Thanh Khe and Lien Chieu districts is Politburo member and Permanent member of the Party Central Committee’s Secretariat Vo Van Thuong.
Delivering their specific action plans if elected as deputies to the 15th NA, the five candidates presented practical solutions to the building of Da Nang into one of the major socio-economic centre in Viet Nam and Southeast Asia at large in line with the Politburo-adopted Resolution No. 43-NQ/TW regarding its development orientations by 2030 with a vision toward 2045.
In addition, the delegates showed their interest in taking measures to ensure social security, job creation, poverty reduction, traffic safety, building a safe, peaceful and livable environment, and turning Da Nang into an ideal destination for national and international events, as well as a good place for locals and international friends to live and work.
In particular, as a candidate, Politburo member and Permanent member of the Party Central Committee’s Secretariat Vo Van Thuong affirmed the fact that Da Nang shows off very strong development steps with many achievements and breakthroughs over the past times.
However, it is a must-do to remedy any shortcomings and obstacles facing the city for the sake of its more prosperous development in the coming time as per wishes of the people and the Party and State expressed in Resolution No. 43-NQ /TW and Resolution No. 119/2020/QH14 on the pilot organisation of the model of urban government in Da Nang, and a number of specific mechanisms and policies for its growth.
As per voters’ expectations, the would-be deputies must urge the NA to create more favourable conditions and preferential mechanisms to promote Da Nang’s socio-economic development in the right direction.
In particular, in face of the complicated developments of COVID-19, it is necessary to focus on fulfilling the dual goals of combating the virus resurgence in tandem with maintaining economic development.
