On behalf of Orchid Lovers of Viet Nam, Mr Vo Anh Truyen, Chairman of Orchid Lovers Club of Song Han (Han River), on Tuesday, donated VND 2,5 billion to help Da Nang tackle its ongoing coronavirus wave.

Mr Truyen said the donations by orchid lovers of Viet Nam show their support and gratitude to frontline staff in the city’s fight against coronavirus. He also remarked that orchid lovers of Viet Nam show their beliefs to Da Nang’s leaders who will make their utmost efforts to successfully contain the COVID-19 outbreak.

Mr Le Trung Chinh, Chairman of the Da Nang People’s Committee and the municipal Steering Committee of COVID-19 Preventation and Control thanked donors for for their generosity and active support to Da Nang to combat the disease.

Chairman Chinh pledged that their donations will go to support 7 districts in the city, the Da Nang Centre for Disease Control and Preventation,  the Ambulance Service, the Lung Hospital, the Hoa Vang District Medical Centre.

Also on the same day, the Da Nang Fatherland Front Committee received more financial support worth VND 150 million in total from three businesses .

In detail, Da Nang Investment and Trading Joint Stock Company donated VND 500 million, the Da Nang Water Supply Company (DAWACO) VND 500 million, and Petrolimex Company Zone 50 million.

Municipal Fatherland Front Committee Chairman Ngo Xuan Thang thanked the donors for their generosity and active support to Da Nang to help the city in its fight against COVID-19. Mr Thang also highlighted the importance and meaning of cash donations from businesses in supporting the city’s efforts to contain the spread of coronavirus.
