By 7:00 pm on May 23, 749,647 out of 750,418 voters in Da Nang had casted their ballots on the Election Day, equivalent to 99.90%. The  elections for the 15th National Assembly (NA) and People's Council at all levels for the 2021-2026 tenure were conducted successfully across 525 polling stations on Sunday.

In detail, 99.99% of the voters in Hai Chau District went to the polls, 99.99% in Ngu Hanh Son District, 99.97% in Thanh Khe District,  99.88%% in Lien Chieu District, 99.80% in Hoa Vang District, 99.90% in Son Tra District and Hoang Sa (Paracel) Islands District, and 99.75% in Cam Le District.

According to the Election Commission of Da Nang, amid the complex developments of COVID-19, the city has put in place strictest measures to control COVID-19 in order to make sure that the elections were conducted smoothly in a democratic manner.

The election teams have been deployed to polling stations to require voters to strictly follow the 5K recommendations of the Vietnamese Health Ministry, namely khau trang (facemask), khu khuan (disinfection), khoang cach (distance), khong tu tap (no gathering), and khai bao y te (health declaration), and stay compliant with the city’s COVID-19 regulations in order to protect themselves and others from coronavirus, as well as reduce the risk of spreading the virus. The police and military personnel have also been deployed across the city in order to ensure fire safety and security during the Election Day.

The Election Commission of Da Nang has used an electronic voting system for the second time to manage the voting process quickly, accurately, and conveniently.

The success of the voting in Da Nang has been attributed to great efforts of the whole city's political system, the support and consensus of local voters.

The Da Nang government has got the COVID-19 outbreak under controll, and made well preparations for the 2021 general election, thereby helping voters across Da Nang feel secure and safe to go to the polls to elect the most deserving deputies to the 15th legislature and all-level People’s Councils for 2021-2026.
