The Da Nang government has decided to donate VND 10 billion to Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC) to support its efforts in the battle against COVID-19.

Mr Le Trung Chinh, the Chairman of municipal People's Committee and Head of the municipal Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control said that the authorities and people of Da Nang have closely monitored the epidemic situation in HCMC over recent days.

“Da Nang has experienced the effects of three COVID-19 waves, we understand the difficulties that HCMC is facing. Da Nang’s cash donation shows the spirit of mutual affection towards HCMC amid 'challenging' times. Da Nang has received lots of support from HCMC, including the Da Nang fellow country-people in HCMC, to support the city’s efforts in the process of economic and social development. We are hopefully that HCMC will stand strong to successfully bring the COVID-19 situation," said Chairman Chinh.
