The month of June is marked as Environment Month Celebration, where the Da Nang Department of Natural Resources and Environment is spearheading activities promoting environmental protection and conservation awareness activities.

The Department has lined up a series of activities for this month-long celebration which will run from June 5 to August 10.

The highlights of the Environment Month Celebration are the annual City of Da Nang Environmental Awards ceremony to honour outstanding individuals and businesses for their environment work, dredging cannals, clearing drainage systems, 'Green, Clean and Beautiful Sundays' movement; waste separation at home, forest restoration, and protecting the environment and biodiversity, and more.

In response to World Environment Day, various other activities were held across the city on June 5 and 6.  Included were campaigns to plant green trees and clean up local beaches, vacant land lots and industrial parks, removing illegal advertisements in residential areas and some streets.
