More financial support for Da Nang's COVID-19 Vaccine Fund

Representatives of the Da Nang –based Thai Phien Club for senior citizens on Monday morning  handed over VND 110 million in donations from the club’s members to the city’s COVID-19 Vaccine Fund to respond to the Viet Nam Fatherland Front Central Committee (VFF)’s appeal.

Thai Phien Club Chairman Le Tu Cuong said that the club's members all show their willingness to support the city’efforts in the fight against COVID-19, and a combined total of VND 110 million were raised at a launching ceremony of VFF’s appeal for COVID-19 Vaccine Fund support.

Vice Chairman of the municipal People's Committee Ho Ky Minh thanked members of Thai Phien Club for their generosity and active support to Da Nang to help the city tackle COVID-19.

Mr Minh also remarked that the government is taking drastic measures to contain the spread of the virus and promote the economic development in addition to making sure that the city’s population will be fully vaccinced against COVID-19 as soon as possible with active support from Viet Nam’s national government, individuals, organizations, businesses across the city.

* Also on Monday morning, Union Bank of Taiwan (China) donated VND 1 billion to the city’s Vaccine Fund. On behalf of Da Nang’s leaders, Vice Chairman Ho Ky Minh appreciated the salience of love, affection the Taiwanese bank has shown to help the city to tackle virus.
