Results of elections for the 15th NA and People's Council at all levels for the 2021-2026 tenure released

The official results of the recent elections for the 15th National Assembly (NA) and People's Council at all levels for the 2021-2026 tenure were released on Monday. Six most deserving candidates have been elected to the 15th NA whilst 52 have sought berths in the People's Council at all levels for the 2021-2026 tenure.

Da Nang Party Committee Deputy Secretary, municipal People's Council Chairman and municipal Election Commission Chairman Luong Nguyen Minh Triet affirmed the great success of the elections.

According to the election results, among 52 deputies of municipal People's Council for the 2021-2026 tenure, the percentage of women is 21.15%, young people 17.3%, non-Party members 1.9%, re-elected people 32.7% and religious followers 1.9%.

Noticeably, 749,647 out of 750,418 voters in Da Nang casted their ballots on the Election Day, May 23, reaching the turnout rate of 99.9%, the highest ever figure recorded in the city, said the municipal Election Commission.

Amid the complex developments of COVID-19, strictest safety measures against  COVID-19 were put in place in order to make sure that the elections were conducted smoothly in a democratic manner. Local voters realised their responsibility for building the socialist rule-of-law state, and shown their trust in the leadership of the Party and the State.
