Da Nang provides grants for people in finanical hardship

Following Viet Nam’s national government’s guidelines for creating the most favourable conditions for indiduals and businesses facing hardship as a result of COVID‑19 to access financial support, Da Nang will provide grants worth VND 92 million for people with meritorious services to the revolution, the poor and those who are struggling financially.

VND 1million will be offered to each of people with meritorious services to the revolution and beneficiaries of Da Nang’s social welfare policies while VND 500,000 will be given to each member of poor familes.

VND 1,500,000 will go to help each of uncontracted labourers and freelance workers. Included are staff at pre-schools and private nursery schools, drivers and assistants serving the city’s subsidized bus routes, fixed routes, along with tax drivers and those who drive contract vehicles with less than 9 seats and tourist vehicles, crew members serving sightseeing boats, staff at tourist sites, accommodation establishments and beach services, lottery ticket sellers, employees in hair and beauty salons, cleaners and domestic helpers.

In addition, tour guides will receive an allowance valued at VND 3,710,000 VND each while VND 3,000,000 will go to support each of families operating in night markets.

Vice Chairman of the Da Nang Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Duong Dinh Lieu said on Thursday that VND 1.5 billion in financial support will be go to help individuals in need across the city to get through difficult times. Financial aid recipients are low-income families, sick people and those in difficult circumstances.
