On the occasion of the 74^th anniversary of the War Invalids and Martyrs’ Day (July 27), following recent approval by the Da Nang, gifts worth more than VND16 billion in total funded by the municipal budget will be given to 27,139 local people who made meritorious services to the revolution.

The gift recipients will include Heroic Vietnamese Mothers, Heroes of the People's Armed Forces, Hero of Labour, wounded soldiers, those who served in Viet Nam’s resistance wars having exposure to infected toxic chemicals and losing their working capacity by 81% or more, policy families living in financially difficult circumstances, martyrs' relatives.

In addition, under the authorisation of the State President, the municipal administration will present gifts worth of more than VND7 billion funded the national budget to 22,886 revolution contributions in the city. Included are Heroic Vietnamese Mothers, war invalids and veterans contaminated with chemical toxins and losing at least 81% of working capacity, and martyrs’ relatives, war invalids and veterans losing 80% or less of their working capability.

This year’s gift value is 50% higher than that in the previous year.
