The Hai Chau District People's Committee on Wednesday held a virtual signing ceremony of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on friendship and cooperation with Uiwang City, Gyeonggi Province, South Korea.

Chairman of Hai Chau District People's Committee Le Tu Gia Thanh and Uiwang City Mayor Kim Sang Don co-chaired the online important event.

Under the agreement, the two sides unanimously agreed on strengthening friendly relationships and promoting bilateral cooperation for mutual interests in the aspects of economy, culture, education, sports, healthcare, people-to-people exchange programmes.

Chairman Thanh suggested that agencies, universities and businesses based in Hai Chau District and Uiwang City actively develop specific bilateral cooperation programmes.

It is known that Hai Chau is the only district in Da Nang to have been selected to sign a MoU on cooperation and friendship with this South Korean city.
