The Da Nang Committee of the Viet Nam Fatherland Front (VFF Da Nang), on Saturday, handed over 50,000 medical masks to Son Tra District in a bid to support its efforts in the fight against COVID-19.

The Vice Chairman of VFF Da Nang Duong Dinh Lieu hoped that the authorities at all levels in Son Tra District would play a better role in helping dwellers soon overcome difficulties triggered by the current coronavirus resurgence and contributing to pandemic containment.

In addition, VFF Da Nang commended 5 individuals who are members of the residential areas-based Fatherland Front chapters in Son Tra District for their outstanding achievements in pandemic prevention and control, distributing essential products for residents in blockaded areas and ensuring social security.

Besides, VFF Da Nang also awarded gifts worth VND 1 million VND each to 10 members having difficult circumstances from the residential areas-based Fatherland Front chapters participating in the fight against the virus.
