Following Da Nang government’s Official Letter No. 5440/UBND-KT dated August 23, additional 1,000 tons of root and tuber vegetables will be distributed to districts across the city.

Accordingly, Hai Chau District will receive 176 tons of fresh vegetables, Thanh Khe District 160 tons, Son Tra District 138 tons, Ngu Hanh Son District 80 tons, Cam Le District 145 tons, Lien Chieu District 174 tons, and Hoa Vang District 127 tons.

The municipal Department of Industry and Trade will work with authorities at local level to receive distributed fresh vegetables, and deliver them to residents in their local areas in timely manner with proper COVID-19 precautions in place in a bid to avoid the spreading the virus.

In total, the city has till date distributed 4,800 tons of root and tuber vegetables, of which, 4,550 tons came to local districts, 10 tons to police and military units, 240 tons to companies located in industrial parks that are adopting the ‘stay-at-work’ solution. In addition, additional 30,000 gifts consisting of food items and dried foods have been allocated to districts across the city to provide timely support for local residents.
