On Thursday morning, Deputy Secretary of the Da Nang Party Committee cum Chairman of the municipal People's Committee Le Trung Chinh visited the headquarters of the Da Nang Police Department on the occasion of the 76^th anniversary of Traditional Day of People’s Public Security Forces (August 19)

On behalf of the city's leaders, Chairman Chinh extended his greetings and wishes to the Board of Directors, officers and soldiers of the municipal Police Department on their special day. He also highly appreciated them for upholding the pivotal and decisive role in ensuring security and order for the sake of the people's happy life, and contributing to maintaining political stability and creating a peaceful and favourable environment for the city's socio-economic development.

With the motto of “fighting the pandemic like fighting the enemy”, the city's police force at all levels is playing an active role as one of the frontline forces in the combat against COVID-19. In the coming time, the city's police should continue to overcome difficulties and challenges to fulfill the assigned task of protecting national security, social order and safety in parallel with effectively completing pandemic prevention and control missions.

On behalf of his agency’s staff, Major General Vu Xuan Vien, Director of the municipal Police Department thanked the city leaders for their kind concern, congratulations and great encouragement given to the local police force. He pledged that the staff would promote the highest sense of responsibility and make even greater efforts to fulfill the ‘dual task’ of fighting against COVID-19 and ensuring security and order, thereby contributing to socio-economic development.
