Da Nang Border Guard female officers actively engaged in efforts to fight COVID-19
Despite standing under the extreme heat of nearly 40 degrees Celsius, the "steel roses" or "female warriors" of the Da Nang Border Guard High Command have enthusiastically performed their duties at checkpoints to assist efforts to control the COVID-19 pandemic.

The municipal Border Guard high Command has recently established 56 checkpoints seeing the participation of 265 officers and soldiers, including female ones.
To participate in this tough duty, female border guards on a voluntary basis have been carefully selected based on their professional and family work schedules. Thereby, they are able to promote the glorious tradition of Vietnamese women, that is, to “excel at work and be perfect at home.”
In particular, among these female soldiers performing this reinforcement mission, there are many outstanding examples of overcoming family difficulties, such as Major Nguyen Thi Huyen Thuy and Hoang Anh Tho, and Lieutenant Dinh Thi Van Trang.
Since the beginning of the new COVID-19 wave in Da Nang, their husbands have been on duty in the fight against the pandemic, so they have to handle all their family chores in the most thoughtful way. However, whenever the Da Nang Border Guard high Command launches a mission, they are not afraid to serve residents.
At the checkpoint on Hoang Thi Loan Street, Hoa Minh Ward, Lien Chieu District, the image of sweaty checkpoint forces due to heavy traffic flow as well as the high work intensity is the truest proof of this arduous mission. However, their standard style, sincere, open and gentle attitude has eased the hot atmosphere under the 40 degrees Celsius heat.
With the encouragement of their colleagues, especially the police officers, the city’s female soldiers have always complete the assigned work and ensure to deal with their duties according to the principles, in an accurate and timely manner following safety guidelines against the pandemic.
At a checkpoint located at the eastern end of the Rong (Dragon) Bridge, Son Tra District, Lieutenant Le Thi Minh Hien, who went to carry out this reinforcement mission, said that: “With the youth and confidence of commanders at all levels, we always try to fulfill the assigned tasks in the best way to contain the pandemic soon, bring the safety and stability back so that our Da Nang can continue to develop and becomes an attractive destination for domestic and international tourists."
