Giving cash and in-kind gifts to those struggling financially under extreme heat
These days, despite the harsh hot weather, Da Nang’s taskforces have still actively spread out on local streets and every corner to promptly present support of VND500,000 in cash or essential goods to each of the local households living in fanatically difficult circumstances so as to meet their daily needs amid the COVID-19 crisis.

Providing timely support to those who need help
In the past few days, functional forces and Youth Union members of Hoa Khanh Nam Ward, Lien Chieu District have done their utmost to deliver 849 gifts, with each valued at VND500,000, comprising rice, instant noodles, canned fish, and drinking water, to every household in the ward.
Despite transporting goods on scorching days, they don’t feel exhausted due to their pride in such highly meaningful duties.
Currently, Hoa Son Commune in Hoa Vang District houses some COVID-19 patients and a number of local locked-down areas. On August 21, the commune's functional forces went to 340 households eligible for the city's support to give them financial grants.
Similarly, on the same day, functional forces of Hoa Phu Commune, Hoa Vang District promptly presented cash to support 427 poverty-strickenhouseholds.

Accelerating the disbursement of cash in aid
According to Mr. Nguyen Thien Chuong, Vice Chairman of Hoa Khanh Nam Ward People's Committee, there are 1,667 households in the ward being eligible for support following the decision of the municipal People's Committee. Thereby, the Hoa Khanh Ward authorities would try the utmost to present gifts to all these households as soon as possible.
Similarly, Thanh Khe District has 9,414 households eligible for support, with a total amount of more than VND4.7 billio. Right on August 20 afternoon, the Thanh Khe District chapter of the municipal Department of Labour, War Invalids and Social Affairs carried out procedures in a prompt fashion to provide cash in aid to the needy in wards.
According to Nguyen Van An, Deputy Director of the municipal Department of Labour, War Invalids and Social Affairs, all of the gifts from the national and municipal administration or businesses as well as the aid of VND500,000 for each social policy or poverty-stricken household have to be quickly given out to the eligible people in an attempt to help them stabilise their lives amid the COVID-19 resurgence.
