The Da Nang government has announced a new COVID-19 financial relief package worth over VND 91 billion to support local residents while they are under strict stay-at-home orders.

Accordingly, the city will provide essential goods for 50,000 households, each valued at VND 500,000, at a total estimated cost of VND 25 billion. In addition, around 1,000 tons of root and tuber vegetables will be distributed to people across the city at a total cost of 20 billion VND.

In addition, VND 46,032 billion will be allocated to districts across the city to provide either cash or in-kind support for 92,064 families in total, and each family will receive cash or in-kind gifts worth VND 500,000.

Da Nang People's Committee Chairman Le Trung Chinh is urging relevant agencies to take all necessary measures to ensure the timely distribution of essential goods for local residents across the city to meet their daily needs amid COVID-19 crisis.
