VND1 billion and 4,200 in-kind gifts for support to Da Nang people amid COVID-19 tough time
The Da Nang Committee of Viet Nam Fatherland Front (VFF), on Monday, received VND1 billion in aid from the Trung Nam Joint Stock Company, 3,000 in-kind gifts, each valued at VND300,000, from FPT Urban Joint Stock Company Da Nang and 1,200 essential gifts worth a sum of VND300 million from the Da Nang Golf Association.

All the above-mentioned donations were distributed to Da Nang residents, especially those experiencing financial hardship as a direct impact of the current COVID-19 wave.
In detail, 5 tonnes of vegetables of all kinds allocated by the municipal Committee of VFF went to the wards of Hoa Thuan Dong, Hai Chau 1, Thach Thang and some collective kitchens in Hai Chau District.
Likewise,654 gifts worth a total of over VND91 million were presented to poor households in Thanh Khe District. Also, 500 and 200 gifts donated by the FPT Corporation and the Da Nang Golf Association, respectively, went to 10 wards in the district.
Son Tra District-based fishermen living in difficult circumstances received 100 gifts, each valued at VND1 million.
Also, 50 servings of fresh vegetables were given to the Hue Quang Buddhist Pagoda and Cao Dai Trung Buu Holy Temple in Cam Le District to ensure their access to sufficient essential food supplies.
In a similar vein, onasteries and Buddhist establishments across Ngu Hanh Son District got over one ton of rice, 10 sacks of vegetables in support.
Meanwhile, 3.5 tonnes of vegetables and 200 gifts went to Hoa Khanh Nam and Hoa Hiep Nam wards respectively in Lien Chieu District.
In addition, the Hoa Vang District VFF chapter honoured a remarkable individual for actively partaking in its programme "Sharing love and joining efforts to fight against COVID-19",
On this occasion, the municipal Committee of VFF also received 5 tonnes and 3.5 tonnes of vegetables from Nam Tra My and Bac Tra My districts respectively to support the city dwellers.
Likewise, the Da Nang Border Guard High Command handed over more than 1 ton of vegetables to locals in the locked-down and quarantine areas in Tam Thuan Ward, Thanh Khe District.
Thanks to the noble and kind practical donations of individuals and organizations in joining the fight against COVID-19, local residents have also somewhat stabilized their lives amid the stay-at-home order.
