Da Nang top leader urges to speed up vaccinations to ensure all adults receive at least one dose
During his onsite visits on Sunday morning to vaccination sites at the Thanh Khe District Cultural Center and the Student Hall of Residence in the west of the city in Lien Chieu District, municipal Party Committee Secretary Nguyen Van Quang highlighted need to speed up the pace of the city’s vaccination program in order to make sure that Da Nang’s adult population receive at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine. It is very necessary to Da Nang to help it identify appropriate measures to further ease of COVID-19 restrictions with more activities allowed to reopen, Mr Quang remarked.

In his onsite visit to the vaccination site at the Thanh Khe District Cultural Center, Secretary Quang praised the district authorities and their local health workers for their efforts in rolling out vaccinations for local residents while ensuring safety and efficacy of vaccines to be administered to eligible people.
Mr Quang urged the health agency to gear up for huge vaccination program after large amounts of COVID-19 vaccines will be distributed in Da Nang in the coming time. The focus must be paid on ensuring that the rollout of vaccinations is implemented in a safest and most effective manner as well as all eligible people in the city will get vaccinated against COVID-19.

At his onsite visit to the vaccination site at the Student Hall of Residence in the west of the city, the Da Nang top leader stressed the need to make sure that the seating for the immunizers maintain a physical distance of 2 metres at waiting area in a bid to prevent the spread of the virus. In addition, temporary roofs must be installed over waiting areas, Mr Quang emphasised.
Mr Quang directed authorities in Lien Chieu District to open more vaccination locations which should be located near residential settings in efforts to make it easier for local residents to get vaccines. In order to help reach people who may have had difficulty getting to vaccination sites, mobile vaccination sites must be set up within the district, the Da Nang Party Chief emphasized.

The vaccination site at the Student Hall of Residence in the west of the city is now able to administer COVID-19 vaccines to about 1,500 people a day. All foreigners in this district have received their second dose of a COVID-19 vaccine.
