Da Nang traffic police perform their duties in strong winds and heavy rainfall
Da Nang has experienced strong winds and heavy rain since the night of September 10 due to the influence of typhoon Conson. However, traffic police officers are still clinging to entry points to perform their duties to tighten controls on all arrivals to the city in an attempt to reduce importation risk of COVID-19 cases.
Despite heavy rain and high winds, traffic police officers are pulling over drivers of vehicles to check their papers to ensure their strict compliance with COVID-19 rules before they are allowed entry into the city. |
Senior Lieutenant Colonel Le Van Luc, the Deputy Head of the municipal Traffic Police Division, on Saturday morning said that traffic police officers are still clinging to their tasks to control COVID-19 in the four entry points namely Hoa Phuoc, Kim Lien, Hoa Nhon, and Hoa Hai despite heavy rain and high winds.
Traffic police officers have been deployed to all COVID-19 checkpoints at entry points in Da Nang to increase checks on people and vehicles entering and leaving the city. In addition, officers are staffing at small roads to handle drivers of vehicles who take evasive action to avoid COVID-19 checkpoints on main roads.
Apart from staffing COVID-19 checkpoints, traffic police officers are ready to respond to typhoon Conson in an effort to protect the safety of local residents and their properties as well as implement effectively COVID-19 control measures.
