Addressing the third session of the Da Nang People's Council on Wednesday, municipal People’s Committee Vice Chairman Ho Ky Minh affirmed that supportive policies for the city dwellers and those joining COVID-19 prevention and control missions across the city are implemented in a prompt and transparent manner.

Till date, 50,651 social policy, poverty-stricken families and people who gave meritorious services to the national revolution across the city have accessed a total of over VND25 billion in aid from the municipal budget, with each receiving VND500,000.

Also, a total amount of over VND71 billion funded by the municipal budget has gone to local residents amid the financially tough times triggered by the COVID-19 wave.

Besides, 29,054 people who are members of the authorities of local residential groups apartment complexes and villages performing their COVID-19 prevention and control tasks have received one-time support of VND1 million per person.

Municipal People's Council Vice Chairwoman Cao Thi Huyen Tran said that the granting of financial aids to the above-mentioned subjects has been made in a prompt yet effective manner, with transparency ensured.

In the coming time, focus will be on continue to facilitating eligible people to access supportive policies by simplifying administrative procedures for the granting and ensuring uniformity, timeliness, and right objects.
