Da Nang always stands side by side with Ho Chi Minh City in fight against COVID-19
On Thursday, October 28, a group of representatives from the Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC) Party Committee, led by Head of the HCMC Publicity and Education Department Phan Nguyen Nhu Khue, paid a courtesy visit to the Da Nang authorities.

On behalf of the visitors, Head Nhu Khue thanked the Party, government and people of Da Nang in particular, and those of the whole country in general, for their special care and active support for his city in its tough fight against COVID-19.
“In light of the recent COVID-19 pandemic situation, HCMC has received great support, sentimental affection, and spirit encouragement, from many localities nationwide, including Da Nang. Such timely support of cash, materials and medical equipment, has helped HCMC promptly and effectively prevent and control the pandemic. Up to now, the COVID-19 outbreak in HCMC is basically brought under control, and the country’s largest city is adapting to a new normal” added the guest.
Mr. Phan Nguyen Nhu Khue hoped that, in the coming time, when the pandemic is well controlled, the leaders of the two cities would foster their bilateral cooperation, with a focus on carrying out many investment attraction and promotion programmes in a bid to stimulate tourism development in their localities.
For his part, Vice Chairwoman of the Da Nang People's Committee Ngo Thi Kim Yen shared difficulties with HCMC in its recent battle against COVID-19. She affirmed that Da Nang in general, and the local health sector in particular, will always stand side by side with HCMC during the coronavirus crisis.
Vice Chairwoman Yen emphasised that when Da Nang was the country’s largest COVID-19 epicenter in August 2020, the city received timely and enthusiastic support from HCMC.
Also, Head of the Da Nang Party Committee's Mass Mobilisation Department Doan Ngoc Hung Anh affirmed that the city's leaders and people always kept track of HCMC’s COVID-19 prevention and control work. Most notably, many medical teams, and emergency vehicles, have been sent to support the country’s largest COVID-19 epicenter in its battle against the pandemic.
Mr Anh took the opportunity to thank the Party, authorities and people of HCMC for their material and spiritual support for Da Nang people in HCMC during the complicated pandemic.
He expressed his hope that, Da Nang and HCMC would continue to boost their bilateral cooperation relations in such fields as economy, tourism, and investment attraction.
