The Da Nang People's Committee has just given a nod to the establishment of the Steering Board for socio-economic recovery and development in the context of safe, flexible adaptation and effective control of COVID-19 in the city.

Accordingly, the Head of the Board is municipal People's Committee Chairman Le Trung Chinh, whilst the 4 Vice Chairpersons are the Deputy Heads, and the members are the directors of the municipal departments and agencies.

The major task of the Board is to develop plans, programmes, projects, and scenarios in a timely manner to propose solutions within the competence of the municipal People's Committee in socio-economic recovery and development in the context of safe, flexible adaptation and effective control of the coronavirus surge.

Also, the municipal administration has just decided to consolidate the municipal Science and Technology Council. Accordingly, the Chairman of the Council is municipal People's Committee Vice Chairwoman Ngo Thi Kim Yen, whilst the Standing Vice Chairman of the Council is the Director of the municipal Department of Science and Technology Le Duc Vien.

The Council is responsible for giving suggestion to the municipal People's Committee on legal documents, guidelines and policies on science and technology, measures to spearhead the city’s scientific and technological development to meet the requirements of socio-economic growth and effectively tap its scientific and technological potential, joining debates on key science and technology projects and measures to develop human resources.
