On Wednesday, the Da Nang Children's Cultural Palace coordinated with the Council of Youth Team together inaugurated and handed over a VND100 million playground for children, along with a VND8 million badminton court, to the Hoa Khanh Bac Ward authorities in Lien Chieu District.

On this occasion, the two units gave 10 gifts, worth VND5 million each, to disadvantaged children in Hoa Khanh Bac Ward.

Previously, as part of the ‘Spring of Love’ programme 2022, the Children's Cultural Palace and the Council of Youth Team visited and donated 200 warm clothes, totalling VND25 million, to poor children in Quang Nam Province’s Phuoc Son District.

Also, they were actively involved in giving Tet gifts, valued at VND70 million in total, to disadvantaged children in the city, and releasing a children's music album themed ‘Da Nang in my heart’ at a total cost of VND70 million.

The ‘Spring of Love’ volunteer campaign cost nearly VND300 million.

Also on the same day, the municipal Youth Union in collaboration with the Youth Union organisation of the Da Nang Government Department and Agency Block organized the ‘Warm Spring - Compassion Tet’ programme in 2022 at the Bau Bang Drug Rehabilitation Centre.

Themed ‘Lighting up the dream of returning to life - for a bright future’, the programme featured a number of cultural exchange activities between youth union members, and centre’s members.

The intention of the programme was to improve the spiritual lives of the centre’s drug addicts, thereby creating extra motivation for them to integrate well into the social community.

Also at the programme, there was also a talk by psychologist Tran Thi Kim Hanh, thereby helping the centre’s drug addicts understand the drug-related harms and strive to resit drug temptation.

On this occasion, the municipal Youth Union gave 20 gifts, each worth VND300,000, and some sports equipment and musical instruments, to help the centre’s drug addicts stay healthy and improve their spiritual lives during the detoxification process.
