Da Nang leader pay visits to medical facilities on Physicians' Day

On the occasion of the 67th anniversary of Vietnamese Physicians’ Day which falls on February 27, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Da Nang Party Committee cum Chairman of the municipal People's Council Luong Nguyen Minh Triet on Wednesday paid visits to the hospitals of Oncology and Traditional Medicine,  the Ngu Hanh Son District Medical Centre and the Hoa Hai Ward Medical Station.

He was accompanied by municipal People's Committee Vice Chairwoman Ngo Thi Kim Yen.

During his visit to the Da Nang Oncology Hospital, Standing Deputy Secretary Triet spoke highly of the outstanding achievements recorded by this medical establishment in recent years.

He also encouraged the staff to overcome difficulties and well perform treatment for patients in Da Nang and other localities in the central and Central Highlands regions of Viet Nam.

Also, building a smart hospital model and further developing high-quality human resources should be given a heed in the coming time.

Visiting the Da Nang Traditional Medicine Hospital, Standing Deputy Secretary Triet recommended that the hospital promote the application of information technology to make itself ‘smart’ and develop sources of medicinal herbs to serve the treatment of patients.

Whilst extending greetings to the Ngu Hanh Son District Medical Centre and the Hoa Hai Ward Medical Station, the city leader praised the medical staff for their positive contributions in the city’s tough fight against COVID-19.

At the same time, he expressed his wish that the medical staff would strive to overcome difficulties and continue to record more achievements in medical examination and treatment and actively support mobile medical stations in treating COVID-19 patients at home.
