Da Nang promotes trade cooperation with Pakistan
During her Thursday reception for Ms. Samina Mehtab, the Ambassador of Pakistan to Viet Nam, Da Nang People's Committee Vice Chairwoman Ngo Thi Kim Yen highly spoke of potentials and orientations of trade cooperation between the city and Pakistani partners. She hoped that the ambassador will act as ‘a bridge’ to introduce Pakistani investors and tourists to Da Nang.
Vice Chairman Yen also affirmed Da Nang’s stance on supporting and creating favourable conditions for the Pakistani Embassy in Viet Nam to carry out cultural and people-to-people exchange activities in Da Nang to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the diplomatic ties between Viet Nam and Pakistan.
Ambassador Samina Mehtab said that that the Pakistani government has always attached importance to deepening the friendly relationship with Viet Nam in tandem with strengthen bilateral relationships, especially in economic cooperation with Vietnamese partners, including those in Da Nang.
According to the Pakistani Ambassador, Da Nang and Pakistani localities possess many strengths and advantages in boosting cooperation in food processing, housing construction, information technology, hi-tech agriculture, tourism and logistics.
On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the diplomatic ties between the two countries, Ambassador Samina Mehtab hoped that cultural exchange activities, cuisine events and the Pakistani Film Week would be organised in Da Nang, thereby promoting the image of the land and people of Pakistan to the people of Da Nang, and Viet Nam at large.
She also would like the Da Nang administration to encourage investors and businesses based in this city to seek cooperation opportunities with Pakistani ones.
