20 gifts given to poor single female workers
The Da Nang Labour Confederation, on Saturday morning, held a thematic workshop on late President Ho Chi Minh's thought on building a family and the role of women to mark the 1982nd anniversary of the Hai Ba Trung Uprising and the 112th anniversary of the International Women's Day on March 8.

Participants at the event listened to a thematic report entitled "Ho Chi Minh's thought on building a family and the role of women presented by Master Truong Thi Diep – a lecturer from the city's School of Politics.
Through the report, officials, trade union members and employees, especially female workers, were equipped with useful knowledge, thereby affirming their roles and positions in society.
The event also provided a good opportunity for trade unions at all levels citywide to continue taking care of female members and creating extra motivation for them to well fulfill their assigned tasks.
On this occasion, the municipal Labour Confederation gave 20 gifts, each worth VND1 million, to 20 single female workers living in difficult circumstances with the aim to help them overcome their current pandemic-triggered difficulties.
