Da Nang focuses on discussing issues of deep concern to meet development requirements

All issues “put on the table” are important and urgent to meet the city’s current restoration and development requirements. Delegates must join thorough discussions, on the basis of the city's legal provisions and practice to handle issues of deep concern, thus meeting the city’s development needs and the interests of the people.

The statement was made by Standing Deputy Secretary of the municipal Party Committee cum Chairman of the municipal People's Council Luong Nguyen Minh Triet whilst delivering his opening speech the 5th session of the Da Nang People’s Council in its 10th tenure during the 2021-2026 term on Friday.

At this ongoing thematic session, the delegates listen to and give opinions on a number of reports related to the supportive schemes for eligible subjects during the Lunar New Year of the Tiger in 2022, support for the medical force performing the task of combating COVID-19, the disbursement of the 2021 public investment plan.

This event is expected to see the adoption of some outstanding resolutions, namely the adjustments to the planning of subdivisions for functional zones, the list of works and projects on changing the use purpose of rice land, protection forest land and additional special-use forest land in 2021 in Da Nang and the go-ahead for the project of planning, preserving and restoring special national scenic spot Marble Mountains for its submission to the Prime Minister for approval.

In addition, the delegates at the event will cast their votes on a number of related resolutions to support people and businesses financially affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.

At the same time, the municipal People’s Council will consider and approve the investment policy of a number of Group B projects in the city and related contents within its competence.
