81.15% of rural labourers find jobs after completing vocational training
Da Nang has gained numerous positive achievements after 10 years of implementing the national government's vocational training project for rural workers.

Specifically, the rate of rural workers in the city finding suitable jobs after completing vocational training is 81.15%. About 24% of them are recruited by enterprises or units, 70% are self-employed and 5.5% work in cooperative groups and cooperatives.
The information was released at a working session on Thursday morning to review the implementation of the Directive over the past decade.
The event was presided by Deputy Head of the Central Committee’s Publicity and Education Department Phung Xuan Nha, and Standing Deputy Secretary of the Da Nang Party Committee cum Chairman of the municipal People's Council Luong Nguyen Minh Triet.
In his report at the meeting, Deputy Head of the municipal Party Committee’s Publicity and Education Department Doan Xuan Hieu informed that, there were now 70 vocational education and training institutions in the city with a total enrollment of 57,278 students in 284 majors at different levels of training.
Since 2012, 28 out of the abovementioned facilities have been actively involved in providing vocational training programmes for rural workers. A combined total of nearly VND15 billion have been spent on providing training courses at elementary level for rural workers, especially farmers directly involved in producing agricultural products in the city.
Speaking at the meeting, Standing Deputy Secretary Luong Nguyen Minh Triet said that the Standing Board of the municipal Party Committee has been always paying special attention to organising vocational training courses for rural workers.
He added that, in the time to come, the municipal Party Committee would focus on implementing the Central Committee’s guiding documents about vocational training and collective economic development, changing occupations for people in the direction of urban agriculture and high-tech agriculture, evaluating and improving the quality of vocational training institutions, boosting linkages between vocational training institutions and labour markets, and enhancing digital transformation in vocational training.
Deputy Secretary Triet took the opportunity to ask for support from the Central Government to help vocational training institutions to solve their inadequacies and expand their good education models.
In his closing speech delivered at the event, Deputy Head of the Central Committee’s Publicity and Education Department Phung Xuan Nha highly lauded Da Nang for its great efforts and outstanding achievements in implementing the aforementioned project over the past 10 years.
He underlined, on the basis of the recommendations made by Da Nang, the working delegation would gather and summarize to include in the draft which will be submitted to the Central Government for consideration in the coming time.
