Municipal leaders congratulate press agencies on Viet Nam's Revolutionary Press Day

Da Nang Party Committee Secretary Nguyen Van Quang on Monday morning visited the representative offices of the Nhan Dan (People) Newspaper, and the Vietnam News Agency (VNA) in Central Viet Nam and Central Highlands regions, in the city in recognition of the 97th anniversary of Viet Nam’s Revolutionary Press Day (June 21).

During his visits to the press agencies, Secretary Quang extended his best wishes to the editors, reporters and staff of the representative offices on the occasion of their special day.

The Party chief acknowledged and highly appreciated the press agencies for their support and contributions for Da Nang’s progress. He also highlighted their vital role in publicising the guidelines and policies of the Party, the State and the city.

He hoped that the press agencies would continue to promote their achieved results, and to make important contributions to the cause of building the Party, the State and the city in the coming time.

Also on the same day, municipal Party Committee Deputy Secretary cum People’s Council Chairman Luong Nguyen Minh Triet visited and congratulated the staff of the Da Nang Newspaper and the city-based VTV8, a channel of the Viet Nam Television (VTV), in Central Viet Nam and Central Highlands regions, on their special day.

During his visit to the DA NANG Newspaper, Deputy Secretary Triet highly commended the editors, reporters and staff of the newspaper for their hard work, commitment and dedication.

He also acknowledged the newspaper’s efforts in providing readers with accurate information on Party building work and the city’s socio-economic development. The newspaper’s articles received high appreciation from readers nationwide.

Mr. Triet suggested the Da Nang Newspaper pay attention to strictly following the spirit of the resolution of the 22nd Congress of the municipal Party Committee to well publicise the guidelines and policies of the Party, the State and the city.

He also put a spotlight on the need for the newspaper to implement its digital transformation project, as well as guide public opinion in the right direction, honour good deeds in life, strictly criticise any negative phenomena in society, and create a high level of consensus amongst locals.

In reply, Editor-in-chief of the Da Nang Newspaper Nguyen Duc Nam thanked the city leaders for their special care for his organisation over the past year.

He pledged that editors, reporters and staff of the newspaper would continue their efforts to deserve the trust of the local Party, government and people.

When meeting with editors of the city-based VTV8 channel, Deputy Secretary Triet congratulated the organisation on their outstanding achievements over the past time.

He expressed his desire that VTV8 would accompany with the municipal government in widely publicising the city’s guidelines and policies on supporting enterprises, especially small and medium-sized ones, to drive their post-pandemic production recovery.

Also on Monday morning, municipal People’s Committee Chairman Le Trung Chinh paid his visits to the Voice of Vietnam Radio (VOV)’s Central Viet Nam Resident Agency in Da Nang and the Da Nang Radio and Television Station (DRT).

He hoped that, in the coming time, the press agencies would make every effort to provide reliable information about the city for its readers in a timely fashion, and fulfill its publicity tasks in a more effective manner.
