City leaders voice condolences on death of late Japanese PM Shinzo Abe

Da Nang Party Committee Deputy Secretary cum municipal People's Committee Chairman Le Trung Chinh on Monday led a delegation of the city's high-level leaders to pay tribute to the late Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe at the Consulate General of Japan in the city.

Chairman Chinh laid a wreath and sent a letter of condolences from the municipal People's Committee to the Consulate General of Japan in the city.

In his note in the condolences book, he expressed his deepest sympathy to the Government and people of Japan, and the family of the late PM Shinzo Abe, a great, close, and loyal friend of the Vietnamese leaders and people. He also expressed his appreciation for Abe’s special sentiments and valuable support to the land and people of Viet Nam, as well as the extensive strategic partnership between the two countries.

Consul General of Japan in Da Nang Yakabe Yoshinori thanked the municipal leaders for their condolences on the passing of Mr. Shinzo Abe. He said he would deliver a letter of condolences from the city leader to the family of the late Japanese PM as soon as possible.
