Mr. Souphanh Hadaoheuang, the Lao Consul General in Da Nang, on Wednesday morning, visited the municipal Party Committee to mark the 60^th founding anniversary of the Viet Nam-Laos diplomatic ties (September 5, 1962 - 2022) and the 45^th anniversary of the signing of the Viet Nam - Laos Amity and Cooperation Treaty (July 18, 1977 - 2022).

On behalf of the leaders of the Party and government of Laos, and the authorities and people of the south central provinces of Laos, Lao Consul General Souphanh Hadaoheuang extended his good wishes to the Party, authorities and people of Da Nang.

The Laotian diplomat believed that under the leadership of the municipal Party Committee, Da Nang's economy would develop rapidly and sustainably in the spirit of Resolution No. 43-NQ/TW regarding the local progress by 2030 with a vision toward 2045.

Mr. Souphanh Hadaoheuang hoped that the traditional friendship and special solidarity between Viet Nam and Laos, and those between the south central provinces of Laos and Da Nang, would be lifted to new heights in the future.

During his reception for the Lao guest, municipal Party Committee Secretary Nguyen Van Quang expressed his wish that the traditional friendship and special solidarity between Viet Nam and Laos would be deepened in the years ahead. He also hoped that, in the coming time, the Consulate General of Laos in Da Nang would organise more meaningful activities with the aim of tightening the special friendship.

Mr. Quang suggested the Consulate General of Laos in Da Nang coordinate with Da Nang’s agencies to well organise activities to celebrate the 60^th founding anniversary of the Viet Nam-Laos diplomatic ties (September 5, 1962 - 2022) and the 45^th anniversary of the signing of the Viet Nam - Laos Amity and Cooperation Treaty (July 18, 1977 - 2022).

The municipal Party chief revealed that Da Nang would host a ceremony in late August in celebration of the important events, so he suggested the municipal Department of Foreign Affairs and the city branch of the Viet Nam - Laos Friendship Association to make careful preparations for the celebrations.
