New military commander in Da Nang appointed
The Executive Board of the Da Nang Military Party Committee held a ceremony on Saturday to announce the appointment of the new city key military officers.

In attendance at the event were Lieutenant General Thai Dai Ngoc, Commander of Military Region 5, and Secretary of the municipal Party Committee and the municipal Military Party Committee Nguyen Van Quang.
Following recent decisions by the Ministry of National Defence, Colonel Nguyen Quoc Huong, Commander of the Da Nang Military High Command has been promoted to the position of Deputy Chief of Staff of the Military Region 5.
Meanwhile, Senior Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Van Hoa, Deputy Commander and Chief of Staff of the Quang Nam Province Military High Command has been appointed to the position of Commander of the Da Nang Military High Command.
In his remarks at the ceremony, Secretary Nguyen Van Quang and Lieutenant General Thai Dai Ngoc recognised and highly appreciated the great contributions made by Colonel Nguyen Quoc Huong throughout the course of work.
As Commander of the Da Nang Military High Command, Colonel Nguyen Quoc Huong advised the municipal Party Committee, People's Council and People's Committee to perform well the local defence and military tasks, building an all-people national defence in association with the people's security posture.
Thanks to this, the city's armed forces are constantly growing, making an important contribution to maintaining political stability, social order and safety, and promoting the city’s economic and social development.
Also, Secretary Quang and Lieutenant General Ngoc congratulated Senior Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Van Hoa on his new position. They hoped that he would continue to promote his capacity, intelligence, solidarity and efforts to fulfill well his assigned tasks and make suggestions about local military and defence tasks to the city’s leaders.
